Motor Handbook

Produced by

Jim Patton, Dave Miller, Kirk Leidy and Jim Allen

Edited by Nancy Dysart

This Handbook was written early in 2004 in response to Shawn Farrell's desire to have updated training for folks who support bicycle racing on motorcycles.  The Handbook is intended to be used with the associated training course.  Once an individual has taken the course, the Handbook becomes a reference manual.  Without the training course, the book may not provide a full picture of the responsibilities and techniques.

Motorcycle Handbook

By Rich Ryer

This page contains a motorcycle manual written by Rich Ryer.  It is presented here with his permission.  You may print it out or send the link to anyone who might be interested.  It contains one of the best reviews of road racing I've seen.

One section, on USCF Rules is chapter not provided -- his chapter is significantly out of date.  As time permits, I'll try to rebuild the section to summarize the important rules for Skooter Officials.  For now, the link is to the USAC 2000 Rule Book site.
